Lauralton Hall athletes and the school’s Advanced Vocal Ensemble were part of the opening ceremonies at the Bridgeport Sound Tigers game on Saturday, proudly holding the American flag during the National Anthem and during the moment of silence for Sandy Hook.
Nearly 200 parents, students, faculty, staff, alumnae, family and friends came out to support Lauralton Hall and watch the Sound Tigers vs. Connecticut Whale ice hockey game.
The Advanced Vocal Ensemble also performed in between the first and second periods. Standing in the 4th floor skybox they sang “Seasons of Love” from Rent and “Joyful Joyful” from Sister Act.
“It was a thrill to sing in the Arena and see ourselves on the Jumbotron,” said junior Brenna Donohue. “It was also a great night to spend time with our classmates, enjoy a hockey game and show our school spirit!”
