Benefit for Benson-Crump Garden

|

From Linda Ball at Milford Rec:

The Recreation Department will hold its 4th annual Gigantic Tag Sale and Book Sale fund raiser on Saturday, April 27th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the Fowler Field Pavilion on New Haven Avenue behind Milford Public Library.

The fund raiser will be held rain or shine and will benefit the Recreation Department’s Benson-Crump Memorial Community Gardens Program, the oldest community gardens in southeastern Connecticut.

There will be over 50 tables of great stuff that you won’t want to miss including tools, toys, kitchenware, loads of best seller paperback and hardcover books, sporting goods, artwork, jewelry, small furniture, vegetable, herb and flower plants, holiday items, CD’s, DVD’s and lots more. A few tables are still available to rent and individuals interested in renting one or more to sell their items can do so for $20 per table. All $20 rental table fees will go directly towards the Benson-Crump Memorial Community Gardens Program and whatever you sell from your table is yours to keep. It’s a fun way to make some extra money and clean out your attic or basement of unused stuff, just in time for spring. The crowds every year are huge and there’s always something unique to be found for everyone. This year there will also be a special basket drawing for 8 beautiful gourmet and theme baskets.

For more information or to rent one or more tables, please contact Community Gardens Supervisor Linda Ball by email at ball13@sbcglobal.net or by voicemail at 783-3280 x8 by Wednesday, April 24th. You may also stop by the Milford Recreation Department in the Parsons Complex on 70 West River Street in Milford on Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM to fill out a tag sale table registration form. Tables go very quickly, so register early.
