Milford in 1918 was a very different place

|

As I prepare to write a biography of Jehiel Bryan for the Milford Hall of Fame Committee I’m finding all kinds of wonderful historical resources on the web.

For example, this page from the town (NOT city, not until 1959) Annual Report of 1918. Besides the selectmen, constables and other elected officials (and local elections were apparently in October, back in the day, unless it was a wartime thing) you have Cullers of Lumber and Weighers and Measurers of Wood.

Hopefully, those officials all worked well together…
