DAR will hold flag retirement ceremony

The Freelove Baldwin Stow Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will be holding a flag retirement ceremony on Friday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m. on the grounds of the DAR Chapter House, 55 Prospect Street.

Boy Scouts from Milford Troop 721 will be assisting in the retirement and burning of flags that have been collected by the DAR over the past few years.  Anyone wishing to bring an old flag ready for retirement may do so, or you may drop it off beforehand on the back porch of the Chapter House.

This solemn ceremony honoring our nation’s flag is open to the public.  In case of severely inclement weather, the ceremony will take place on Saturday, July 13 at 9 a.m. 407988_10200969865872946_1421330544_nFor more information, call 203-874-8046.
