Wreaths Across America ceremony held

The Wreaths Across America Ceremony was recently held at the Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford.  This year was the 22nd Anniversary of the Wreaths Across America going to Arlington National Cemetery.

The local ceremony was organized by the Freelove Baldwin Stow Chapter DAR.  Seven ceremonial wreaths were placed in remembrance of all military people who served, to honor their sacrifices and to teach younger generations about the high cost of freedom.

U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal was the guest speaker and also made a special presentation of a wreath for the 1st. Anniversary of the Sandy Hook School children and adults who lost their lives.

Participants included the Disabled Veteran’s Chapter #15 – Milford, the American Legion and Boy Scout Troop 721, 303.
