Some present and former sailing school staff members enjoy an opportunity to contribute to a good cause: sailing school scholarships for deserving kids. L-R are Donny O'Day, Jana Dodson, Julia Robinson, Marli Varian, Paul Chandler, and Lindsey Chandler. Photo by Kyle Rhodes.

Friends of Longshore Sailing School threw a great party on the Longshore Sailing School upper deck last Thursday.  The mission of FOLSS is to provide, protect and preserve public sailing and boating safety education facilities for present and future generations.  That they have been doing since the foundation was formed in 2001, and Thursday’s success suggests the group will continue to thrive.  The easiest way to contribute between now and the next cocktail party: purchase a brick in the LSS brickwalk.
