Well, I think “and no one is doing anything about it” is a bit exaggerated. There are active people and organizations and entire communities that actually take action (and not just pronounce slogans), for example, to raise manufacturing and export and attract people to this sector. What’s really sad is that the efforts are feeding Republicans for the most part. Hopefully, things will change this year.

The saying ‘Going to hell in a handbasket’ is absolutely ridiculous. Anyone who uses such a phrase to characterize a poor state of affairs is a brainsick nutcase. The origin of this fragment goes back to the 1920s, according to several dictionaries. But in truth it makes very little sense, unless, one means, the world will be put in a handbasket or handcart or handbag and sent to hell, which too, doesn’t make much sense either. Who’s going to put the world in one of the above objects and send us all to hell?

Why not just say ‘Going to hell where you belong’. Although the alliteration, hell and handbasket, are not present in my fragment still it is more sensible and rational and makes sense. Plus it maneuvers itself away from evidence of a dumb down society or what I call ‘Parrot Syndrome’.

Wake up America. It’s time to put ignorance behind us.

Various historical examples show the possible answer of what will happen to inequality during the recession, so the report is not a surprise. Fiscal policy and other anti-crisis measure have strong impact on the inequality. These also include minimum wage rates, deregulation, and other policies which bring benefits to wealthy. And when the majority is being motivated to spend more, inequality rises further. Whole process sets up the virtuous cycle for economy and rich, but vicious one for the rest. This leads to the increased income inequality, paradoxically, being a consequence of fight against crisis.

No one can be a board member for a lifetime, unless….ugh, and I guess Romney knew it perfectly well and was obviously in a hurry to use the chance and make a fortune. This is regular practice among some top managers and politicians. I wonder why it raises any questions at all. Looks like the fortune was big enough to share.

Sugar is a great generalized name to hide HFCS. I have a few other great suggestions. Why name specific, synthetic or natural food dyes, let’s just label it “colored”, or let’s rename them all – we don’t need to know what we put inside ourselves. Why label gasoline or diesel columns at the gas stations? We don’t need this info, both types of fuel burn perfectly, I tried. Why label newly born babies with the mother’s name at the hospital, if all kids are the same, have 2 legs and arms and 1 head, I counted? Any mother will be happy to take just any baby, right? Or maybe something’s wrong and we need EXACT info?

He obviously wasn’t telling the truth when running for governor. So he either was incompetent and Damon was pulling fast one’s under his nose, or…
