Just Around the Corner

A fresh and funny ‘take’ on living in this great state

Take Gentle Care Connecticut

|

A good friend would always leave me with the parting advice, “take gentle care” and with that in mind I celebrated the first week of the New Year (and my birthday) doing just that. With the help of a couple of Christmas and birthday presents in the form of gift certificates, I indulged myself in the pursuit of youth, beauty and pleasure. I believe we are lucky here in the nutmeg state – You don’t have to venture far to enjoy a great massage, a day of beauty or the pursuit of a better you!

I’m sure you are all familiar with Massage Envy, but I’ll just state for the record that you can get a truly good massage here. Don’t let the fact that they are like a chain and literally everywhere fool you. I visited the Milford location and my masseuse custom fit my one hour deep tissue massage to my specs, and she was a pro.

Later in the week I visited Dolce Vida Medical Spa nestled in the pine trees of Shelton. I admit to getting lost (but you know me Connecticut; I’m always getting lost.) I’m not going to divulge the reason for my visit. I will say that one of my 2012 resolutions is to get in better shape, and I hope my new friends at Dolce Vida can help. Next week I plan to blog about the spa in more detail. Until then, please take gentle care…
