Two weeks ago I went to a game park and saw lots of Africa’s prized wild animals. But no Lions.
Today, we went to a Lion Park about 30 minutes south of Pretoria. There was a walking area, with lion cubs that people could pet and giraffes we could feed. There were also exhibits housing cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and ostrich.
Then you could hop in your car and drive through a handful of lion parks where the adults hung out.
Despite the obvious zoo-like atmosphere, petting lion cubs and seeing adults up close in a more natural setting than a zoo was fantastic. Check out the slideshow.

I guess if I were a lion I would do nothing but lay on my ass all day too. What you got a problem with that? I’m a freekin lion bitch!
