Bogey’s Grille & Tap Room located on 323 Main Street, CLOSED! I heard this rumor and I had to go check it out myself. I thought no no its just closed due to Hurricane Irene, but as I approached the door I saw this note that read:
“After 17 years of being in buisness, we regret to inform you that we have officially closed our doors. We had a great run and will miss serving all of you. Thank you very much for your patronage and loyalty over the years.”
The owners were Jim and John Stablein were not available for comment.
I spoke with one patron, PJ Letersky who said; I’m in a stunned silence. Loved their ribs and their wings were the best in the area. The bolognese was my “Comfort Food”. Whenever folks would ask at our office where to go to lunch or dinner with their kids, I always told them Bogey’s. I guess the hurricane floods just pushed them over the edge. Good luck to Jimmy and Johnny and the rest of the crew.
Bogey’s history: Bogey’s was the last of a several restaurants in that building, starting with Cross Roads, Oliver’s, and A Stone’s Throw. What will be next???? If anything… I’ll keep you posted.
