“Very inviting food world class creative menu, NYC caliber with a small town feeling.”….. Patron Donna Rizzi Lysobeg
Dark wood paneling, oak & stone floors, Grand Central clock, an inviting large “U” shaped bar draws you into the newest, probably the most highly anticipated restaurants to open in Westport in quite a while. I am sure most of you have driven by the circa-1935 brick building with mustard awnings and a beautiful outside patio that once housed the Westport Post office wondering what it had become. Lots of people thought steak house, fish, and even some still think its a new renovated post office! No- it’s POST 154. According to the chef, Alex Rosado, it’s a restaurant, bar and gathering place with a fresh outlook on modern day food. The restaurant has great food and drinks with a nice setting to match!!! It reminds me of the Oak room at the Plaza in NYC which no longer exists. Post 154 has a handsome, inviting, cozy feel that makes you instantly relax.
Chef Alex Rosado says he will be preparing world class, creative cuisine, a little bit of everything! We love that. The food is an eclectic mix of favors. Some of the show stoppers for appetizers are: the eggplant meatball parmesan, the Heirloom tomatoes, lobster quesadillas and St Louis style ribs. The main entrees include: Tuna, Rosemary Short ribs, Guava BBQ pork tenderloin as well as a delicious burger– something for everyone.
There is also Free Valet Parking… woo hoo!! Some outside space heaters are at the new spot so anyone can enjoy a nice glass of vino and some delicious food on the Patio into late November!
“80”drove by 100 times and I must see it! Being a native Westporter I love how Post 154 has maintained the integrity of the Building. Beautifying Westport….”
