Location: 198 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT

Hey Westport, I know I have be focusing on restaurants a lot lately, but let’s us not forget a freshly updated decorated home whether it b a condo, apartment, house or yacht makes one happy. Lets face it, this Spring has been delightful and many of us are ready to do Spring cleaning, covert our closets from Fall/Winter to Spring/Summer and change slip covers to white cotton duct etc, just give our homes a little face lift. That in mind, I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sheridan Interiors.

Sheridan Interior is a understated goal mine for everything from Furniture, Builts Ins, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Carpets, Accessories, Lighting, pretty much whatever you can think of they have! Sheridan Interior has been Family owned for 40 years. The individual personal service is undeniable, ur own personal design expert will come to ur house, bring pieces, swatches, paint colors, whatever u need, Wow! Lillian August watch out! Oh did I mention Sheridan Interiors has the LARGEST research library in Fairfield County as far as fabrics, wall coverings and Furniture. They carry classics in furniture such as Baker, but also modern furniture & accessories (can you say Dove Cote/ Bungalow) updated chic….. Clients range from Wilton, Westport, Darien, New Canaan and Greenwich. Kerry and her design staff have also succesfully tackled projects in Cape Cod, Bermuda, Villa in Italy and Ireland her clients keep coming back for more! Which is truly the success of Sheridan Interiors referrals and word of mouth! Shhhh our secret!

Kerry Sheridan’s current brain storm which is such a clever idea the “Two Faced Reversible Pillow” is becoming the latest trend, ranging from $200-$275. A great way to transform the look of a room ie. beachy one side contemporary another!

The Spotted Horse

by:

THE GOOSE, THE HORSE! Long time restaurateurs’ Tommy Febbraio, Kevin McHugh & Peter Mennona with help from Chef Pedro Garzon have opened a new hot spot in Westport. The success of the Gray Goose a Euro-tavern style restaurant in Southport across from the De la Mar hotel and Artisan restaurant led to the addition of the “Spotted Horse”. Located on church street (across from the YMCA) downtown in the historic restored 1802 Sherwood House. The inside seats 77 with a great “Horse Shoe” bar. The expose beams and reclaimed wood (from old horse stalls) with a sophisticated soft gray hue lend to a causal-chic relaxing environment. Think old world meets new! I sampled the menu. I had the scallops and a burger, both outstanding! The menu has a nice variety with small plates and interesting entrees at affordable prices. The Spotted Horse is a nice addition to down town Westport after a little shopping or strolling to hop into or on the spotted Horse!!!!! Go Check it out P.S. also next door to another new shop Urban Outfitter’s. Enjoy this little slide show, it’s fun!!!

The food is fresh, high quality and very well priced! Westport go visit

PACI RESTARAUNT

by:

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Bob Patchen, owner of Paci Restaurant.  I have been a guest at Paci many times over the past 10 years.  I love the ambiance, exposed brick walls, and vaulted ceilings.  It feels more like TriBeCa in downtown NYC, than the quaint New England town of Southport in which it is located.  Bob and his wife Donna worked with architect Roger Ferris & Partners to renovate a former Rail Freight Depot, and preserve the authenticity of the existing structure to create a mixed rustic and modern space.  The upscale cuisine and award-winning wine list keep patrons coming back for more.  My personal favorite is the meatballs, which are Donna’s grandmother’s family recipe which has been passed down for generations.  In fact, they are affectionately referred to as ”Rosies’ Meatballs”.  Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!!!  Moreover, you can’t go wrong with the Veal Milanese or the Steak Salad.  Oh, and my latest personal favorite is Alfonso’s tuna tartar.  Delicious!  The menu changes daily, based on availability and season.  Chef Alphonso D’Oronofior never disappoints, as taste and presentation are consistently outstanding…..

As far as the wine is concerned, listen to Jeff Hemming (the resident Sommelier).  He is really knowledgeable, while at the same time sensitive to budget.  Paci has won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 10 consecutive years.
