I need a cow’s head

I know a dude who needs a cow’s head…kind of a long story.

After calling probably a dozen places and even trying an Advocate reporter whose father own’s a cattle ranch, we haven’t been able to come up with one.

Any ideas? I am looking forward to the tacos.

We found a source for the head – La Marqueta in Stamford. Now we need to find a place to smoke it. I’ve got one very promising lead and three less promising leads.

  6. Colleen, thanks. The Pork Store in Port Chester was one of the places we were going to call.

I think La Marqueta is going to hook us up…honestly, I was surprised my friend didn’t start with them, which is why I didn’t even mention it to him.

Bob, we will save the eyes for you. Haha.

In Stew Leonards’ ad they say there are 10,000 cows in Ellington, CT, I’m sure they wouldn’t miss just one.

  8. Bob1 says:

“Borrow” the one off the Stew Leonard’s catering van….

  9. Colleen Cahill says:

Try Calling Pork Store (thats the name on the sign) on Willet Ave in Port Chester or the Meateria on North Main Street also in Port Chester. They both have strange cuts of meat in the windows.

  10. Maggie Gordon says:

    It’s a grass-fed beef farm. Not a cattle ranch.
The Gordons are not that fancy.
