With Dunkin Donuts about to land in small-business-minded Old Greenwich, Arcadia Café is looking to expand its offerings. The old-school venue, which has an airy, New England feel complete with high ceilings and an arched entrance, recently applied to the town’s Planning and Zoning Commission to switch to a restaurant model, allowing them to serve beer and wine and increase the number of seats.
Which will you welcome? A new watering hole in the OG or the arrival of Coolattas on Sound Beach Avenue? Neither? Both?

I welcome a new place in OG. I enjoy Acadia but ets face it they over charge for food and it’s really not good. Come on a salad for 10. They think their Whole Food with the organic.
I hope they go o of business.
More business is needed, so we welcome all….
Can’t wait for a new dining alternative in OG!! OG is such a great community with the last of the neighborhood feel in Greenwich. We love to stay, eat, shop and play here.
As for Dunkin Donuts…there are a lot of empty store fronts in OG and across town….it will be nice to see a tenant. While I would prefer it not be a chain with really loud colors, it’s not the worst thing to happen. There are already several excellent coffee and breakfast food options in the neighborhood – I say good luck with that plan. There is only one place to get bagels in the area and it’s Upper Crust. Doughnuts – does anyone need those on their waistline!
One of the problems with Arcadia is that the coffee is — lets just say — lackluster. It’s kind of a shame since it’s so close to my office.
