Stamford is getting a new roof-top spot. Sign of the Whale opens Thursday, August 14 at 6 Harbor Point Road.

The website describes the new beer garden as a “10,000 square foot venue with a one of kind 5,000 square foot roof top beer garden overlooking the Long Island Sound.”

The venue plans to be a lunch and dinner destination as well as a hot spot for weekend nightlife.

Plans for opening weekend are in motion starting with a grand opening VIP reception on Thursday, August 14. Those who sign up for the event will get one free drink and specials for the rest of the night.

The weekend will continue with a VIP reception and charity event to benefit whale and dolphin conservation on Friday, and on Saturday the partying really starts.

On August 16, Sign of the Whale will host its first High Tide Rooftop Party. Party goers will also have the chance to enter to win a 3-hour booze cruise on the Long Island Sound. Click here for more information on all these events.
