The other day when I wrote about cold soccer sidelines, I admit I was mistaken. Those temperatures in Wilton were balmy compared to yesterday’s freezing digits during my son’s golf tournament in Massachusetts! As we walked 18 holes thru rain, wind, sleet and snow, I wondered if Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus ever drove a Titleist in these conditions.
Luckily I took heed to the Accuweather forecast of a pre-season Noreaster complete with inches of snow and packed semi-appropriately.
I’m sure my son wondered how I ever remained in the fashion industry for as long as I have after seeing me in my golf course attire!
But I did manage to find and wear a great pair of wintry, waterproof boots for the occasion that may have saved my feet…as well as my reputation.
