I am reminded of a company I worked for in the past who had tons of cases pending in court trying to get back money they had invested in a company he had set up. All his new businesses were all LLC's. Is he somehow preventing those who are after him from taking any more of his money?

In the event of a Revocable Trust that has a Spendthrift clause. Would the Trustee be responsible for an accounting to all beneficiaries if they have disposed of all assets including cash accounts?

Interesting, I had never heard of an ILIT before. I will definitely be looking for a lawyer in my area because, like you said, a poorly written trust would be a real shame for the family involved. "The cornerstone of a quality estate plan", I like that.

Great article Anthony. You hit it on the head. Many people believe that estate planning is only for wealthy people when in reality, everyone needs some form of estate planning. A living trust is a great way to avoid probate and ensure a smooth transition when someone passes away.
