Obama visits Rosa Park’s bus

I’ve signed up for the White House’s “Photo of the Day” email list. I thought today’s photo was kind of cool.

In today’s photo, President Barack Obama is sitting on the famous bus where Rosa Parks, a civil rights activist, sat.

When a bus driver asked Parks to move to the back of the bus on Dec. 1, 1955, because she was black,  she refused and remained in her seat.

It’s always interesting to go back to places where great historical events once happened.

i never knew this bus was in a museum, what a disgrace. It should have been destroyed many years ago. No reason to celebrate the torture people of color went though back then. SMH.
