It’s not even October and children’s Halloween costumes are already brewing up controversy.

Earlier this week, some parents complained to Walmart when they spotted a Naughty Leopard costume for toddlers on a store shelf in Oregon. While the actual costume was sweet with a dress and set of furry ears, parents felt the name was suggestive and inappropriate for kids.

Walmart immediately pulled the costume from store shelves and its online site.

“It was never our intention to offend anyone and we apologize to any customers who may have been offended by the name of the costume,” Walmart spokeswoman Danit Marquardt told KATU-TV, Portland, Ore.

Halloween costumes for kids have become more and more inappropriate over the past few years. The girls’ costumes are getting skimpier and the boys’ scarier—and many are just downright tasteless. A pimp costume for a 6-year-old boy? A skimpy French maid dress for tweens? A Woopie Cushion costume for babies? Take a look at some of the bad kids costumes below. These make the Naughty Leopard look tame.
