Jon Hamm and Elmo talk art on ‘Sesame Street’

by:

By night he plays the stoic-faced, chain-smoking, womanizing Don Draper on Mad Men, but by day Jon Hamm is in a role that requires him to project a much more cheerful and wholesome persona. No cocktails or cigarettes allowed on this set!

For a segment on the Children’s Television Network’s Sesame Street, Hamm wears a scruffy beard and a sunny smile and is more cute than sexy. It’s actually quite refreshing. He speaks with an upbeat voice as he and Elmo, who plays a sculptor, give kids an art lesson. Adorable? Yes, definitely (though not as adorable as Hamm).

Is Jennifer Aniston pregnant? Oscars photo suggests yes!

Why is Justin Theroux’s hand carefully placed on Jennifer Aniston’s belly? Is the placement of his hand a little odd? In a pose like this one, the male usually rests that hand by his side.

The celebrity press that’s been intently following the Hollywood couple is speculating that Aniston is pregnant and Theroux is cradling a baby with his hand.

A little far-fetched? Yes, since Aniston’s stomach is flat as can be. It seems the tabloids are desperate for Aniston to get knocked up. Kate Middleton isn’t enough.

From Steve Martin to Larry King: Celebrity dads over 60

by:

Last week, news broke that funnyman Steve Martin became a first-time dad in December 2012. Martin’s step into fatherhood came as a big surprise because the beloved actor, known for his comic wit, banjo playing and well-written prose, is 67 years old. But Martin certainly isn’t the first Hollywood star to have a child in his 60s. Here’s a look at some other celebrities who had kids well into their golden years.

Steve Martin has changed diapers on screen, but for the first time the beloved Hollywood actor known for his comic wit, banjo playing and well-written prose is a dad in real life, according to the New York Post.

Martin, 67, and his wife, Anne Stringfield, 41, reportedly had the baby in December and have kept their bundle of joy a secret for two months (Lindsay Lohan you can learn from this).

Martin is active on Twitter but he has yet to send any photos of his child into the Twittersphere. The child’s sex and name are unknown.

“They’ve had a baby, and how they kept it a secret nobody knows,” an unnamed source told the Post. “Steve’s very private. They are thrilled. They worked hard to have the baby.”

Stringfield, a journalist and former staffer at The New Yorker, is Martin’s second wife. The two married in a surprise ceremony in 2007. Martin was married to his first wife, actress Victoria Tennant, from 1986 until 1994; the two never had children together.

Of course, the issue with this news is going to be Steve Martin’s age. While 60 might be the new 50, he is on the older side for fatherhood. Is 67 too old to start having kids?

Steve Martin might be a first-time dad, but he has played family man for many years on the Hollywood screen. Take a look at a few of his best dad roles.

Blue Ivy Carter, the daughter of hip-hop power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z, just might be the most spoiled baby in the world.

For her first birthday, the little diva received a custom-made diamond-encrusted Barbie, reports the British Sun.

The sparkling doll adorned in 160 gems and white gold reportedly cost $80,000—which is chump change for the hip-hop power couple who are the world’s highest paid celeb couple. Last year, they brought in $78 million.

Blue received her gift at a lavish party with $95,000 worth of pink and white roses and a $2,000 cake. The party favors—which included toys, princess outfits, personalized engraved gold pens, playhouses and jewelry—cost $30,000.

Word on the street is that Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s new daughter Blue Ivy Carter looks just like Dad. Better get this kid a pair of Louis Vuitton sneakers!

The hip-hop power couple released photos of Blue Ivy last month on a Tumblr page and at the time everyone was saying the little diva resembled her mother.

But recently singer Melanie Fiona, a friend of Beyoncé, told US Weekly that baby Blue is looking more and more like her rapper father. “Beyonce says Blue changes every day and looks just like Jay now,” Fiona told US.

Blue Ivy isn’t the only baby who has the appearance of a big-name celebrity. Over at the hugely popular humor site Mommy Shorts, a savvy mom blogger named Ilana Wiles has found that many babies, even those born without silver spoons in their mouths, resemble someone famous.

With the help of her dedicated readers who sent in photos of their illustrious-looking off-spring, Wiles put together a hilarious photo collection of pudgy-cheeked babies who look like everyone from Kevin on ‘The Office’ to Michelle Williams to the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

Here’s a look at 15 of those pics and you’ll find dozens at Mommy Shorts.

George Clooney calls mom from jail

George Clooney jail

George Clooney was arrested on Friday for protesting outside the Sudanese Embassy in D.C. He was released later that day after paying $100 fine. (AP)

Unless you were locked inside a closet with no access to media over the weekend, you probably heard that the admirable and affable George Clooney was arrested on Friday afternoon.

Clooney’s arrest is big news in the world of celebrity gossip, but also an important story for those following the humanitarian emergency in Sudan.

The Hollywood superstar and his father were part of a protest outside the Sudanese Embassy in Washington, D.C., demanding that the U.S. government “engage China on stopping a humanitarian crisis in northern Africa,” according to the Associated Press.

Why is this a Mommy Files story? Clooney called his mother from jail. The press was speculating that he made that one and only call to his girlfriend Stacy Keibler. Others assumed he called his lawyer or publicist. It seems like we all got it wrong.

TMZ caught the 50-year-old actor on camera and asked who he called from jail.

“My Mother,” Clooney said. “Some things never change.”

Is he telling the truth? Watch the TMZ video below.
