New Canaan’s troubled couple Paul Simon and Edie Brickell were together on stage this week during her tour with  Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers in Texas.

Simon joined his wife for a few songs in Midland on Tuesday and in Austin on Wednesday, according to Jambase.com.

Simon’s surprise cameo comes three months after the couple were arrested on disorderly conduct charges following a domestic dispute at their New Canaan home. The charges were dropped June 17.

Brickell, Martin and the bluegrass quintet are on tour to promote their new album, “Love Has Come For You.”

“The music was both upbeat and humorous but never tongue-in-cheek,” Midland Reporter-Telegram’s Rich Lopez wrote. “These were masters of their craft and the privilege truly was the audience’s to take it all in.”
