Monday, Aug. 4

7 p.m. – Zoning Board of Appeals (Lapham Center – Douglass Room)

The board is holding three public hearings tonight on the following applications: construction of an addition to a legally non-conforming dwelling at 34 Marshall Ridge Road, placement of a shed and a gazebo on 51 Weed Street, permission for a historical barn to remain on the property line at 340 Country Club Road.

 

Tuesday, Aug. 5

9 a.m. – Board of Selectmen (New Canaan Police Department)

Tuesday’s agenda includes discussion of a request from the New Canaan Housing Authority to be reimbursed $45,016 from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund and the establishment of a Saxe Auditorium Building Committee.

11 a.m. – Pension Committee (New Canaan Police Department)

Among other topics, the committee will be reviewing an “operational defect” regarding Board of Education secretaries’ contributions to the retirement plan. In executive session, committee members will be reviewing new pension benefits for terminating and retiring members.

7 p.m. – Planning and Zoning Commission special meeting (Lapham Center – Douglass Room)

Commissioners are meeting to discuss the implementation of the 2014 Plan of Conservation and Development and the structure of its implementation committee.
