Actress Katherine Heigl and drugstore chain Duane Reade have reached an agreement in a lawsuit over an image used in social media accounts without her consent, according to news reports.

A lawyer for Heigl, who’s a former New Canaan resident and “Grey’s Anatomy” star, confirmed this week that a deal was agreed with Duane Reade to resolve the lawsuit, which was filed in April and sought $6 million, according to Reuters.

The image in question was a paparazzi photograph of Heigl shopping at a Duane Reade store. The drugstore posted the photo on Facebook and tweeted out: “Love a quick #DuaneReade run? Even @KatieHeigl can’t resist shopping #NYC‘s favorite drugstore.”

As part of the deal, Reuters reported, “Duane Reade will make a contribution to a foundation focused on animal welfare, established in 2008 after Heigl’s brother was killed in a car accident.”
