Slick commute to start clear, cold day in Danbury

DANBURY — Side streets remain slick with last night’s snow this morning while main roads and highways in the area are left with little more than patches of black ice.

Today’s high temperature of only 26 degrees should keep those icy areas in place until road crews and clear sunny skies melt it away later in the day.

Danbury had about 1.5 inches fall late Sunday.

That should be the only snow the city sees until Wednesday night into Thursday, when a more significant storm is expected to bring over six inches of snow.
