United Way “Hometown Heroes” benefit dinner auction on March 21

Four “Hometown Heroes” will be honored at the United Way of Western Connecticut’s Hometown Heroes Benefit Dinner scheduled for March 21 at The Matrix in Danbury. Reservations for the event and sponsorships are being accepted now, as well as items to be included in the silent and live auction. Tickets are $125 each for dinner only; for those attending the “Hometown Huddle” reception with New York Giants player Kevin Boothe the price is $200 each. The emcee for the event will be comedienne Christine O’Leary.

The four “heroes are: Corporate Philanthropy award winner – GE Capital; Community Partner Award – The Rotary Club of Newtown; Corporate Volunteer Award-Cartus Corporation; and Individual Volunteer Award-Larry Neary of Bridgewater, Ct.

Auction items will include fine dining certificates, sports equipment, theme baskets, cooking classes, wine tours, hot balloon rides, a limousine service, Broadway experience, and a vacation home getaway.
