New Milford police charge three for DUI

NEW MILFORD — Police charged three people with drunken driving as the result of separate incidents that occurred Friday and Saturday.

John Capodanno, 53, of West Meetinghouse Road, New Milford, was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia after police investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle on Wellsville Avenue just before 12:50 a.m. on Friday.

Kevin Epitee, 33, of Candlewood Vista, New Milford, was charged with drunken driving and failure to drive right after a traffic stop on Railroad Street just after 1 a.m. Saturday.

Brendan Denny, 28, of Briar Ridge Road, Danbury, was charged with drunken driving and failure to obey a stop sign after a one-car accident at Carmen Hill and Sullivan roads just after 3 a.m. Saturday.

No injuries were reported in the accident, police said.
