Another Dunkin’ Donuts comes to Brookfield

photophotoFor those like me who are loyal Dunkin’ Donuts visitors, Brookfield will soon have a third location from which to purchase your favorite caffeine beverages and tasty doughnuts _ right now, the oreo mint crème is a must taste!!

The Zoning Commission on Thursday night approved a third location – the town does have some other coffee places but no Starbucks yet – at 337 Federal Road; the business will be near Junction Road.  This will be a 2,800 square-foot building with a drive-thru window. The commission stipulated no outdoor dining and has not yet approved signage for the new location.

This is so ridiculous! We already have 3 Dunkin Donuts in Brookfield. This would be DD #4, not #3 and they are putting it next to Jesters, a wonderful, independently owned coffee shop. Is the zoning commission’s goal to shut down a local business? They should really think this through. Bring in a nice restaurant. Give another local business a chance in that location. But a FOURTH Dunkin Donuts is completely unnecessary and may put one of our few local businesses out of business!
