After months of investigation, Danbury Police arrested Christoper Walker, 21, on several drug related charges.
On Wednesday the Danbury Police, SWAT an the K-9 Division went to the Walker residences on North Street to execute a search warrant.
While surveying the home, Ryan Berry, 22, of Brookfield, entered the residence. Police said Berry was going in to the home in a manner consistent with drug purchasing. Berry was seized after leaving the home and arrested for possession of narcotics.
When police entered the home they found a large quantity of illegal drugs and thousands of dollars. Also in the home was Walker’s mother, Nakisha Taft, 38, and Walker’s 2-year-old daughter. Drugs were easily accessible to the child, police said.
Taft and Walker were both charged with risk of injury to a child. And all three were transported to the Danbury Police Department. Taft and Berry were released when promised to appear in court.
Walker, however, was charged with 16 counts of drug related felonies, and is being held on a $150,000 bond. No court date has been set.
