Norwalk should be proud that the American Cancer Society’s Regional Center, C. Anthony and Jean Whittingham Family Building is offically opened to the public following a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday! In 2006 the ACS served one in every 20 newly diagnosed patients in Connecticut. Today the Society is able to reach one in five newly diagnosed patients and 38 percent of all Connecticut cancer patients. The ACS’ goal is to support every cancer patient in need. The new center is going to help make that goal a reality. Kudos to everyone in the city who supported the project. The opening was an emotional, inspirational event that the Citizen was honored to be a part of.
