About Keila Torres Ocasio
A native of Caguas, Puerto Rico, Keila Torres Ocasio grew up in Bridgeport’s East Side. A graduate of Central Magnet High School and the University of Connecticut, she joined the Connecticut Post in 2008 as a reporter covering her hometown.
In 2012, she became a columnist for the paper. Her goal is to cast a spotlight on issues that affect everyday people. She lives in Bridgeport with her husband and son.
