Facebook Credits sales expand to Target.

Following hot on the heels of the beta for PayNearMe, Target has announced it will sell prepaid cards that can be used to redeem for Facebook Credits.

By claiming they’re the first store to let you buy Facebook Credits, that’s disingenuous, as I tested PayNearMe’s service a couple of weeks ago after I wrote about it. Aside from a hiccup where the night guy didn’t know what it was (although he politely instructed me to check with the day shift), I was able to redeem it during the following day, and got the bonus credits promised. I checked this evening and the bonus credits offer is still ongoing.

While Target is certainly offering a convenient choice to buy credits, Target’s minimum is $15 (pretty standard prepaid card fare). PayNearMe, on the other hand, allows payments as small as $1 right now. That gives more flexibility, albeit with the extra need to go to their website and print out a form first.
