|

On March 3, Hearst Connecticut Newspapers surveyed 60 state representatives and senators from Southwestern Connecticut to gauge their opinions on eight specific gun control measures. The results were surprising.  Now we want to know what you think. Tell us, and Hartford, where you stand.

The survey is really worthless, let’s have a referendum.

MORE GUN LAWS WILL NOT STOP CRIMINALS. CRIMINALS DO NOT ABIDE BY LAWS. STIFFER SENTENCES FOR CRIMINALS SHOULD WORK. LEGAL GUN OWNERS SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS, AS MANY AS THEY FEEL NECESSARY TO PROTECT THEMSELVES. THE NUMBER ONE RIGHT IS TO PROTECT OURSELVES. CHILDREN SHOULD HAVE THE SAME RIGHT AS THE PRESIDENTS CHILDREN HAVE. TO HAVE ARMED GUARDS TO PROTECT THEM. I BELIEVE THAT WOULD KEEP THE CRIMINALS AWAY. THANK YOU

The agenda of the anti-gun advocates is to repeal the 2nd Amendment.

As a licensed CT teacher & decorated Vietnam Vet, I must and free willingly support our US Constitution. While I don’t own any gun and don’t want one, I will not get in the way of law abiding citizens who want guns.

the thousands of gun laws on the books have done nothing to protect us from criminals who do not obey laws. any more gun laws (as with past gun laws) without enforcement from police and procecutors, then it will only be a political gesture to make voters believe that their elected officals really care. these are the same politicans who put violent criminals back on the street early so they can kill us!!!!!

The gun survey isn’t working correctly. I voted on question 1, clicked the VOTE button and when I answered question 2, I got an error message saying ” Your request is still being processed. Please wait a while.” Well….it’s been a while….at least 30 minutes now. I’ve exited the survey twice, left the News Times website completely, and returned to try and take the survey (I think it’s important to know how people are feeling about these things and I also want to see the results.) Any explanations as to why the survey site isn’t working?
