Take a break Sunday and hear the band play

|

There is so much to do over the upcoming holiday weekend!
If you are a music lover in Danbury, by now you may know that the Danbury Brass Band will perform outdoors at the Richter Arts Center, l00 Aunt Hack Road in Danbury, Sunday, Sept. 1, at 3 p.m. Conducted by Alan Raph, the program will include music from Haydn to contemporary pieces, plus two premiere compositions.
The concert is free, with donations requested. It’s a great way to spend an hour or so on a Sunday afternoon, and if you are able to make a donation, you can feel good about supporting the efforts of the Richter Association for the Arts to bring quality programs to the area without charging audiences an arm and a leg.
But in case the weather doesn’t favor an outdoor concert this Sunday, the rain location will be the Danbury Senior Center, 10 Elmwood Hall, just behind 70 Main St.
