DANBURY — The Hat City may have to worry about wintry weather slicking area roads for the first time of the season this weekend.

The National Weather Service is forecasting tonight’s rain to turn to sleet around 10 p.m. followed by a mix of snow and sleet after 4 a.m. Saturday.

The chance of precipitation is set at 90 degrees and an inch of sleet and snow is possible overnight, according to NWS.

The snow and sleet is expected to keep up Saturday morning as well, with about half an inch accumulation possible by 7 a.m.
