Flood watch for Danbury area

DANBURY — The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the area to last until early Sunday morning.

The watch comes as a low-pressure system moves over the region draggin with it a cold front that will produce heavy rainfall, according to NWS.

Danbury’s chance of precipitation is listed at 100 percent with between three quarters of an inch and one inch of rain expected.

At risk are ares with poor drainage as well as small streams and rivers, according to NWS.
