Ridgefield school board approves budget

RIDGEFIELD — The Board of Education voted unanimously Monday to approve  the 2014-15 budget of $85.2 million proposed by school superintendent Deborah Low.
The budget is a 2.86 percent or $2.37 million increase over the current school spending plan of $82.8 million.
The Board of Selectmen is expected to complete its work on the proposed town budget by the end of next week. The Board of Finance will hold a hearing on the two budgets in late March before beginning its deliberations on the overall town budget.
