Cold, sunny weekend before snow

|

DANBURY — The skies will be mostly clear and the air will be bitter cold leading into the next major storm expected to hit the area Sunday.

Today’s high temperature is not expected to surpass 16 degrees despite sunny skies. Wind chill values can also  bring that number down to -14, according to the National Weather Service.

The overnight low may drop to -2 leading into another sunny day Saturday with a high near 32 degrees.

But all of that will be prologue by Sunday, when light snow is expected to begin around midday leading into heavy snow overnight and Monday
