Woman struck near Danbury Hospital

UPDATE  – Saturday: Danbury Police report that there was no hit-and-run incident near Danbury Hospital on Friday afternoon.

There was an argument between two people and one person jumped on the hood of the other person’s car, that car then drove off, police said.

Only “superficial injuries” were received by the person who jumped on the hood of the car, police said.

 

A woman was struck by a hit-and-run driver near Danbury Hospital at about  2:20 p.m. Friday.

Danbury police confirmed the accident had taken place and were investigating.

Scanner reports said the vehicle in question was a blue van. Scanner reports said that after the accident, the van left the  scene and  was last seen speeding down Tamarack Avenue.
