Homicide in Danbury

DANBURY — Danbury Police Detectives and State’s Attorney investigators are investigating a homicide that happened at approximately 2 a.m. Saturday.
The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Early Saturday morning at approximately 2 a.m. Danbury patrol officers called in a large fight in the area of Elm and Main streets. Officers responding to a call of shots fired found a male victim on White Street by the parking lot of 301 Main Street, police said.
EMS arrived on scene and the victim was transported to Danbury Hospital where he later died, according to police.
