7-year-old struck by car

UPDATE — A 7-year-old Bethel boy was treated and released for minor injuries at Danbury Hosptial Saturday after he hit the side of a passing vehicle at the intersection of Diamond Avenue and Farnum Hill, police said.

The youth had traveled down the hill on a razor scooter and failed to stop at the stop sign at the bottom of the hill, police said. No charges were brought in the accident.

BETHEL — Emergency personnel are on their way to Diamond Avenue and Farnum Hill to the scene of a 7-year-old boy who was struck by a motor vehicle, according to scanner reports at 4:55 p.m. Saturday. The child was reported to be conscious.
