Ridgefield seeks new member for Conservation Commission

|

Ridgefield  is seeking a new member for the  Conservation Commission.
The Commission is, in many ways, the town’s watchdog on environment and open space issues. It is responsible for open space and trail maintenance; acting in an advisory capacity to Planning and Zoning and Inland Wetlands  and adding lands to the Town’s inventory of open space
Commission members  have to  attend meetings every other Monday night at 7:30 p.m., and attend occasional Friday morning site walks and Tuesday night Planning and Zoning Commission meetings on a rotating basis.  They are also expected to help with trail maintenance; land use expertise, natural resource knowledge and an interest in promoting the work of the commission  are valued qualities for its members.
Interested persons should contact the Conservation Commission at 431-2713 or conservation@ridgefieldct.org.
