NEW MILFORD — A 30-year-old Danbury man was arrested Tuesday night in New Milford after fleeing from a motor vehicle stop on Danbury Road.

Dean Trester, of Beaver Brook Road, Danbury was the passenger in a vehicle that officers stopped for a traffic violation Tuesday evening. Police said Trester ran from the vehicle and was caught after a foot chase by officers.

It was discovered there were four court warrants of Trester’s arrest on failure to appear in the first-degree. The warrants stemmed from a January arrest in New Milford on charges relating to burglary and larceny incidents on Aug. 21 and 30 2013 and Sept. 6 and 16 2013.

Trester was held on $25,000 bond on the warrant arrests and $10,000 bond for a charge of interfering with an officer/non-assaultive.

His court date was Wednesday in Superior Court in Bantam.
