UConn tried to let the Rams back in the game early in the third quarter. After the UConn defense stopped URI cold on its first drive, Jasper Howard muffed the ensuing punt.
Rhody took over at the UConn 20 but couldn’t manage a single first down or any points, failing on a fourth-and-1 from the 11.
