Former Staples QB D.J. Stepkovich got in for the Rams late in the game. He nearly threw Rhody’s second TD of the game but the receiver was just out of bounds over the back line.
It’s the second-most points ever scored by the home team at Rentschler. It tied the 52 UConn scored against Rhody in 2006 but was short of the 59 it posted against Liberty on Sept. 10, 2005.
