UConn senior wide receiver Brad Kanuch has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) District 1 Academic All-District First Team.
Kanuch, who is second on the team this season in receiving yards, has a cumulative GPA of 3.67 through his first six semesters at the university as a social science — sport and leisure major.
This year, Kaunch has 21 catches for 259 yards and one touchdown. He is averaging 12.3 yards per catch.
After being hampered by injuries in 2008, Kanuch started 12 games in 2007 and was third on team with 27 catches at the end of the season.
Kanuch was named to the Dean’s List in the fall of 2006 and springs of 2007 and 2008.
