This was without a doubt the worst performance for any UConn team since the Dom Perno days. If they tried to lose, they could not have played worse. There was a complete absence of hustle from anyone in the second half and our ‘bigs’ box out about as effectively as cardboard cutouts. Oriakhi, Majok, Robinson and Edwards have to be ashamed of the horrendous rebounding effort. Getting out-rebounded 46-35 by the lollipop clan is simply embarrassing.
I can bet that that there were few, if any, NBA scouts at the game, because Dyson was a no-show. Of course, when the scouts are in abundance (Texas), he is a force. It is all about Jerome!
There is absolutely no reason for Jim Calhoun to return this year and have this year’s team effect his health. They are the most uncoachable bunch of ‘stars’ this program has ever seen.
It did not last long, did it?
