im confused, NC beats Greenwich in stunning fashion to end what could be the best game of the decade and you think they will lose votes jeff? if anything i would guve them more votes for showing they are able to hang in their and win the big game. any team can get up by 3 scores and rout an opponent, it takes a true #1 to hang in their against a tough opponent and then have the stones to go for the win and not the tie.

Plus i believe that greenwich is better then central, i think that was a case where central played its best game of the year and greenwich played its worst. i do not believe that central can or will beat NC, especially after the ig win NC just got, they are riding too high.

NC vs. Staples for the FCIACs...greenwich wins out from here on in.

uh, i am not sure NC is going to lose the #1 spot after going on the road and beating one of the biggest schools in the state

they might lose some votes, but I don't think they lose the spot

Defense wins championships. Neither Greenwich nor New Canaan showed any signs it could make a big stop on defense. Greenwich beat themselves with stupid penalties and missed extra points. I don't expect New Canaan to remain at #1 in the state polls based on tonight but they should easily be the #1 seed in class MM. I also don't think Bridgeport Central is talented enought to beat them so it looks like they'll get to prove it on the field against Staples.

I love the BS about schedules. Greenwich has played two tough games so far - Central and Trumbull - and lost one. New Canaan's opponents in total have 2 more wins than Staples. Their only real game was St Joe's (maybe on the level of Ridgefield). Staples will face Trumbull, Greenwich and maybe NC after tomorrow. NC has Greenwich, Central, and Darien and maybe Staples. Possibly a tougher road going forward but not to this point in the season.

After tonight we shall get a clearer picture as to who has the area. I would think that Greenwich is the favorite even though they lost to Central. It's hard for any team to compete against Greenwich's enrollment. They have a great program year in and year out. New Canaan has excellent skill position players and will give the Cardinals all they can handle. Get there early!!!!

Staples is also very tough but they have played NO ONE. It's not their fault. All you can do is beat the team in front of you.

Ridgefield played the same schedule as Staples and came on the past few games. No imagination on offense.

St. Joes can play with anyone. They played tooth and nail with New Canaan but New Canaan's big plays hurt them.

Darien is solid and might get overlooked by the Rams on Thanksgiving Day.

Central is very unpredictable but can beat you with the big play and solid defense.
