Corcoran, Nowacki BlueStreak-Overtime Players Of The Week

Pat Corcoran a forward on the St. Joseph hockey team, and Tim Nowacki, a freshman goaltender on the New Canaan hockey team, have been named co-winners of the BlueStreak-Overtime FCIAC Player of the Week award.

Corcoran and Nowacki will each receive plaques and T-shirts from BlueStreak.

Corcoran scored a school-record six goals and an assist in the Cadets’ 8-4 win over Ridgefield, then had two goals in an 8-1 victory over Norwich Free Academy.

Nowacki made an impressive debut in his first two career starts, stopping 20 shots in both a 5-0 shutout of Greenwich and 2-1 victory over Darien.

Nominations for next week’s award will be accepted starting at noon today and run until noon next Tuesday.

Here again are the instructions for nominating an athlete.
