If the anticipated snow storm causes the postponement of tomorrow night’s FCIAC girls basketball championship game between Trinity Catholic and St. Joseph, it will be moved to Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Fairfield Ludlowe.
That would create a rare doubleheader treat for the two schools. The FCIAC boys basketball quarterfinals begin Saturday at Fairfield Warde, and Trinity and St. Joseph are meeting at 2 p.m.
Fans of the two schools would be able to drive crosstown and see both games, which would likely mean a much bigger crowd for the girls game, and a financial boon for the FCIAC.

And one last point: Make things a lot easier for Dave Ruden who will cover the doubleheader !
Prediction: Both TCHS are underdogs and I don’t anticipate either team walking away with an upset.

Actually Stamford boys play before the Trinity boys so I would miss girls final if it gets postponed.

All four boys games are at Warde. Trinity and St. Joseph fans can go across Fairfield to Ludlowe to get to the girls game.

Dave it we get this stupid snow storm into Sat. and the boys get called off what would happen. I would say play 2 games at warde on monday and 2 games at ludlowe monday. then back to warde wed for semis and warde friday for finals.

I’m not sure what the plan is yet but they would probably have to use two different sites because you can’t play four games in one day. What you suggest is a definite possibility, though Ludlowe could be out only because of its seating capacity.
