For the final vote for the Overtime FCIAC Team of the Week this fall, it seems fitting to go with the four football teams that won on Thanksgiving and will be competing in this week’s state playoffs.
Your finalists are: the Staples, New Canaan, Norwalk and Ridgefield football teams.
The winner will get T-shirts with our new logo courtesy of BlueStreak Sports Training, Garden Catering, the Stamford Advocate, Karl Chevrolet and Innovative Health and Rehabilitation.
The Wreckers rallied from 10 points down in the fourth quarter to defeat Greenwich, 31-27, and capture the FCIAC title. They will face Ridgefield in the quarterfinal round of the Class LL playoffs.
The Rams continued their Turkey Bowl dominance over Darien with a 42-21 victory. They will open the Class L playoffs against New London, hoping to reach a state championship game for the sixth straight year.
The Bears, the surprise team in the league this year, blanked Brien McMahon, 17-0. They will meet Conard in a Class LL quarterfinal game.
The Tigers routed Danbury, 56-14, got some help from other teams and qualified for the Class LL playoffs and a game against Staples.
The voting is open until noon on Wednesday. So vote below and check back to find out who is this week’s Overtime FCIAC Team of the Week.

unfair – new canaan is a smaller town and school compared to all teams listed. Tell me more goes into this than just public voting.
